Tom is a software engineer dedicated to improving people’s interactions with government. He got his professional start building tools for organizing and talking politics online; but, most recently, he was a Code for America Fellow working with Multnomah County (Portland, OR) to build a more respectful and dignified experience for victims in the justice system. In his spare time, he works with the City of Oakland and Open Oakland to build a tool visualizing local campaign finance data. He graduated from Case Western Reserve University (Cleveland, OH) with a degree in computer science.
