Alexandra is one of the co-founders of Code for Romania, where she is responsible for opening, organising and maintaining the organisation’s data. She dreams of a world where data is open, machine-readable and clean, so that researchers and journalists can easily analyse it and inform public debates. To this end, she is currently helping Code for Romania build a data portal open to all data professionals in Romania. She is also passionate about encouraging governments to use resources efficiently and transparently, which is why she is currently pursuing a PhD in public economics with a focus on corruption and public procurement.
