Sarah Toporoff has been working at Global Editors Network since 2014, spearheading Editors Lab, a worldwide series of journalism hackathons. Originally from Massachusetts, she graduated from American University School of Communication in Washington, DC and has been living in Paris since 2012. She loves trivia, podcasts, and trivia podcasts.

The Global Editors Network (GEN) is an international association of over 6,000 editors-in-chief and media executives with the mission of fostering digital innovation in newsrooms all over the world. GEN has three main programmes: Editors Lab, the Data Journalism Awards, Startups for News, as well as the Data Journalism Den (The Den), the global hub for the international data journalism community.
